Ben Boldt, Founder and Lead Consultant - has over 35 years of consulting experience in operations and business management and has been the leader of successful performance improvement and turnaround efforts in a variety of industries. His areas of expertise include the implementation of performance improvement programs in manufacturing, distribution and service companies, the successful application of lean manufacturing in repetitive and Engineer to Order manufactures, selection and implementation of integrated ERP systems, redesign of product design/engineering processes, design and implementation of performance management reporting, leading strategic planning efforts and the development of sales and marketing programs.

A major strength of Ben ability to identify under performing process and create cost effective, easy to implement methods to reduce cost, increase profitability and quality while simultaneously supporting high customer service levels with short lead-times and minimum inventories.

Ben performance improvement programs have included the implementation of pull production, TQM, Cellular Manufacturing and Design-for-Manufacturing concepts in repetitive and Engineer To Order manufacturing companies.  He has successfully completed the selection, implementation of an integrated ERP systems and creation of performance measurement metrics and reporting for a National ETO Signage Company.  An assignment that drove their double digit growth without adding layers of support personnel.   

Ben's skills include the ability to work effectively at all levels within an organization – from the shop floor to the Board Room – as well as with investors, lenders, legal staff and outside accountants.  This enables him to quickly identify strategic and operational issues and develop straightforward, practical solutions that CAN BE implemented in a short period of time. He has a proven background in process reengineering and innovative problem solving to achieve performance improvement objectives.

Ben's professional operations experience includes positions in Manufacturing Engineering, Product Development, 20+ years with Price Waterhouse including being the Partner responsible for 90 person Manufacturing Consulting Group, he experience includes providing services to companies in Japan, Europe and the UK.

Ben's education includes a BSME (Mechanical Engineering) Purdue University and an MBA from Western Michigan University.  He is also a CPA, licensed in Wisconsin.
